WSF’s Activities and Initiatives
The World Sustainability Organization launched Sustainable Friends, a pioneering concept store in the heart of Milan, Italy, offering Friend of the Sea® and Friend of the Earth® certified products and services. Officially opened on June 8th, 2023 (also recognized as World Oceans Day) the store aims to raise awareness about Sustainability and provide an alternative to excessive consumerism, promoting environmental responsibility. Located in the bustling shopping district of Galleria Passarella 1, near Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the store benefits from high foot traffic, with over 8,500 passersby per hour according to a study by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
The Ethical and Sustainable Showroom by WSO aims to offer buyers a trustworthy platform for ethically sourced garments worn by models who are valued for their rights and supported in their profession.
On the upper floor or the store, interviews are being held with sustainability and conservation professionals. Passersby can hear the interviews and learn from the sessions.
The Sustainable Friends Concept Store is rapidly becoming a hub for sustainability, raising awareness and promoting responsible shopping practices.
The revenue generated from the showroom’s activities supports the World Sustainability Foundation’s onservationp Projects and campaigns.
